November 6th and 8th, the ALBA Synchrotron and the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation organize a seminar for high school teachers with the aim of increasing their knowledge of synchrotron light and its properties. The seminar combines theoretic and practical contents, materials and examples to be used with students into the classroom and a visit to ALBA‘s facilities.

The Catalunya-La Pedrera foundation organizes the 5th edition of “Teachers and Science” program, with the objective of establishing contact between high school teachers and research centers and improving the specialized knowledge of teachers. This year, the ALBA Synchrotron participates in this program with the organization of one seminar to be held the 6th and 8th November at the ALBA Synchrotron

Addressed to Biology, Physics, Chemistry and technology teachers, this seminar explores the physical principles of synchrotron light as well as its diverse applications in different scientific areas. The seminar is conducted by Gaston García, deputy director of ALBA, Salvador Ferrer, deputy director of ALBA, and Montse Pont, section head of Accelerator Operations.
